Peta-Gai’s approach to skincare ensures all of our product and skincare recommendations are based on extensive research and years of practical experience.

We believe in recommending products that are suited to your skin, actually work and will make your skin look and feel gorgeous. If we do not use them ourselves, we will not recommend them to you!

After extensive research, Iridis has partnered with a German cosmeceuticals company for our skincare products, called Janssen Cosmetics. These products are simply exceptional and actually do what they say they’ll do. They’re called ‘cosmeceuticals’ rather than simply skincare, as they are manufactured using pharmaceutical grade ingredients, in pharmaceutical grade conditions, which results in a superior range of skincare.

Although made from pharmaceutical grade ingredients, the products are in fact 60-70% plant-based ingredients (meaning less chemicals on your skin). The products are ethically produced and have won a raft of awards since their inception in 1994.

Our Skin Care Specialist, Peta-Gai, has been trained in the special care of your skin from two exceptional sources:

The American Skincare and Makeup Guru, Donna Mee, (the ‘Beauty Prodigy’), who has trained some of the best Makeup Artists in the world (including iconic Jeffrey Star!). Peta-Gai invested in the renowned 30-hour Skincare Program with Donna to learn all the things about skin that aren’t taught anywhere else.
Janssen Cosmeceuticals, over 40 hours of training focussed on skincare generally and the best use of their products for you, our lucky clients!

Your Skincare Consultation with Peta-Gai will start with her unique Skin Questionnaire. This enables her to understand your skin concerns in great detail. She will then conduct a hands-on review of your skin and identify any of the problem areas you need addressed. You will even be educated on all things skincare to learn how to finally look after your skin.

What skin issues do you have? Dry and scaly? Oily? Combination? Break outs? Acne? Sensitivity? Redness? Hormonal breakouts? Whatever the skin issue, there is a Janssen solution that will solve it and our Skin Expert Peta-Gai will show you how.

After your Skin Assessment, she will talk you through a specific method of skincare tailored to your needs and recommend a best-practice skin care solution to your issues.

You will learn how to look after your skin to enable your lifestyle and skincare routine to work together in unison for the best possible results.

Read on for enlightenment… The general principles of a best-practice skincare approach are:

• cleanse (not with a foaming cleanser – they dehydrate and therefore unnecessarily age the skin much more quickly);
• tone (which removes the residue of the cleanser, provides hydration and prepares the skin for serum, making it absorb more effectively into the skin);
• eye cream (where the first signs of ageing appear – but use only a half grain rice sized amount – more than that will create puffiness and ironically, more wrinkles, as it drags the eye down due to excessive amounts of cream);
• serum (the best way to really inject what your skin needs into the deeper layers of your skin – the only product that will go into the deeper layers of the skin to hydrate, dispense anti-ageing ingredients, or solve other skin concerns);
• moisturiser (will lock in all of the serum and protect your skin from the environment and conditions, softening and boosting your skin’s nourishment. There’s a day and night version)
• Sunscreen for daytime use, before the moisturiser – a very finely produced sunscreen that doesn’t feel sticky, greasy or gross, and provides the most efficient physical sunscreen (as opposed to a chemical sunscreen that disrupts the endocrine system);
• exfoliator – Choose an enzyme-based exfoliator, rather than a physical scrub which tears at your pores and creates micro-cuts in the skin. The AHA/AHB enzyme-based exfoliator will gently melt away dead skin.
